One Year!

Levi is now officially a toddler-no longer my baby boy. He is a walking babbling big boy. He is FAST. I find myself running ahead of him if I need to get in the basement or bathroom so I can securely close the door behind me. He loves getting into things. I can see more and more of Lily in him each and every day. Uh oh!

We celebrated a few days early at Nonna and Papa’s house. I made him a banana smash cake in the shape of a monkey’s face. He wasn’t really into it. He was into his new ride-on toy from Nonna and Papa though!

We celebrated his actual birthday by trying our darnedest to get a decent onesie picture of him.

Happy birthday Levi! You will always be my baby though, not matter how big you get. Sorry buddy 🙂

Eleven Months

Levi is fully mobile now. He walks all over the place and gets into everything! We need to be sure to keep gates and the bathroom door closed. He also likes to get into the girls’ crayons. I really don’t understand how he can like to eat those-or chalk for that matter.

Taking his monthly onesie picture was very challenging. It got to the point where I had to scroll through what I snapped and settled for what would work versus the perfect smiley picture.

Ten Months!

All of Levi’s monthly milestones are blurring together because it is taking me so long to post. Levi excels in most areas: eating, babbling, laughing, moving. The only areas he struggles in are sleeping and separation anxiety.

But let’s focus on the positive.

He loves to eat and is willing to try most of the table food we give him. But he is messy! I’m pretty sure that even if he kept a bib on he would still manage to make a huge mess of himself. He has started saying “mama” and often will say it when he’s coming for me (his momma, go figure!). He loves playing with the girls and is often occupied enough in the evening to let me make dinner with little interruption! And boy does Levi move. He is a crawling and cruising champ. Closer to walking than any of our girls were at this age.

Memory lane:

Nine Months

So last month Levi turned 9 months old. He’s got two teeth, is a fast crawler, and cruises like a pro! He is also a very happy boy despite not meeting my sleep expectations (you know, like (1) falling asleep on his own (2) taking two naps a day and (3) sleeping through the night).

Eight Months

Our not-so-little Levi is eight months old now. He is fully mobile and is always keeping us on our toes. He easily pulls himself up on all sorts of furniture and will occasionally use a wall to stand himself up.

He’s had plenty of table food (more than any of the girls did by this age). He just seems more interested-plus it is a great way to give him something to do while we’re getting his sisters to eat.

He still has only two teeth but may be working on his top two.

Slow down Levi! Part of me is very ready for you to reach toddler hood (hello more sleep, maybe?) the other part of me wants to savor babyhood for a little bit longer.

Seven Months

Guess what? Levi is almost eight months old now. Surprised?

Levi loves getting into things now. He scoots everywhere-it almost looks likes he’s swimming across our hardwood floors.

He still isn’t the best sleeper. But we are having a hard time working on that. It isn’t easy with three other kiddos. Maybe someday he’ll have a schedule and nap longer than 34 minutes consistently.

Here’s the growing cuteness.

Six Months

And once again I am doing a monthly update where Levi has reached the next mark. He is seven months already and I am only doing his six month post! I think it is safe to say having four kids keeps me busy.

He is more mobile now. Not quite crawling, but scooting all over the place. With his six month birthday comes solid food. So far he has tried: carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, and pears. Next up we’ll try apples and peas.

Here we go, time to see how much our little guy has grown in over the last six months!
