We are still plugging along with Preschool. I try to get at least three days of school in a week, but honestly, sometimes it just doesn’t happen. I’m hoping to hit 100 days before summer gets here. We’ve been very laid back this year, but will kick into a higher gear once the fall approaches.
We recently finished the letter S. For each letter we go over a memory verse, learn about words that start with that letter, and cover a few things in more detail that begin with that letter. For example, we talked a lot about rainbows for the letter R and about sunlight for the letter S, which leads me to our little craft. In a hopeful moment of “pinspiration” I went to Pinterest and searched under “sun catcher craft” or something like that. That is when I found a simple craft for making sun catchers out of plastic containers and permanent markers.
This was a fun little project where I couldn’t help myself and had to make one of my own. Abigail and I talked about how we had basically recycled by turning the plastic into something new.
The original poster suggested drawing your design with black marker and then coloring it in. If you wanted certain shapes you can also trace shapes because the plastic is clear!
