Last Friday was the start of the big blizzard of 2013. Jonathan worked from home while the girls and I tried to find ways to have fun while not disturbing him. The snow started lightly falling around 10:30 in the morning, which is also the time Abigail started to ask if she could go play in the snow. Abigail would go on to ask this pretty frequently as the day went on and night approached. We tried to reassure her that there would be plenty of snow for her to play with on Saturday. Boy did the storm deliver.
We managed to get Abigail to wait until after lunch before we headed outside. We bundled all three of the girls for our journey. Thankfully, the staff at our complex had snow-blowed a path along the sidewalk.
Sarah, Lily, and I were only out there for about ten minutes. Sarah got really upset once the wind started blowing snow in her face. Lily didn’t seem too bothered by it, she just wanted Jonathan to hold her the whole time. So, in we went, and Jonathan and Abigail played for another 45 minutes or so.
Later that afternoon I took both of the older girls out. And, wouldn’t you know it, Sarah had fun!
I think we are all set for snow now. I heard that the Groundhog did not see his shadow and that spring comes early. I don’t believe it though. I guess we will have to wait and see.
